The New Creatures:
The New Creatures is a five-piece rock band drawn together through mutual friends and a love for rock n roll. Formed by childhood friends Conrad Sloand and John Carstarphen along with their college buddies Ben Carroll and Bjarne Nielsen, each member of the band had already played with another prior to the New Creatures: Sloand and Carstarphen in Belmont, North Carolina, Carstarphen and Carroll in Bozeman, Montana, and Sloand and Nielsen in Canton, New York. The four started playing together in late 2019 in McAdenville, North Carolina (just outside of Charlotte), and quickly found Jacob “Dino” Palladino through a lucky Craigslist ad. Now, the five share a house dubbed the Creature Farm where they live and practice.

The New Creatures draw on a wide range of musical influences from ‘60s rock n rollers to modern indie outfits. With Sloand, Carroll, and Carstarphen laying down spicy licks on electric guitar accompanied by the roar of Dino’s drum fills and Nielsen’s perfectly intricate bass lines. Uniquely, four of the Creatures pitch in on vocals, and all five members contribute lyrics and music. The New Creatures have a fresh yet familiar sound, bringing together elements of surf rock, classic rock, and garage rock.

David Taylor and The Tallboys:
David Taylor & The Tallboys are a fresh, twangy rocknroll/alt-country group formed in Charlotte, NC in early 2019. Having been a solo singer/song-writer for several years in the Charlotte music scene, David has built up quite the catalog of songs. He has performed throughout the Charlotte area, and he self-released a solo EP titled Texas Heat in July 2018.
The band was born after several beers and an impromptu jam session on a Monday night with the help of friends Gersh Godwin on bass, and Jason Cline on lead guitar. Wes Hamilton joined the party on pedal steel guitar, and Matt Sloop filled out the lineup on drums shortly thereafter. The Tallboys take David’s songs and turn them into rocknroll bangers that make you want to stomp your feet and drink at least one too many beers.
Despite only having been a band since early 2019, DT & The Tallboys have already started making waves in the music scene. They have played at local festivals, house parties, and venues such as The Evening Muse, Snug Harbor, The Visulite Theatre, and The Pour House. They have shared the stage with bands like The Black Lillies, Swim In The Wild, Featherpocket, and Kelsey Ryan.
In March of 2021 DT & The Tallboys released their first single out into the world titled Get Me Drunk. It’s a song about playing too many open mics, an ill fated Halloween night and, inevitably, getting drunk.

Tennis Courts:
america's (self proclaimed) #1 limp bizkit cover band

Nige Hood: NiGE HOOD is a performer originally from Charlotte, NC. His self-developed style Folk Rap is a mix of alternative Hip Hop, Rock and Soul Funk, likeable to artists like Childish Gambino, Chance The Rapper and Miguel. NiGE HOOD brings in his three-piece Folk Rap Band for his live shows, culminating in a style that blends more mainstream hip-hop traditions with funk and folk sounds. The charismatic frontman belts out smooth melodies "with a flare of funk and eloquent, tightly-spouted verses" and a "Nas-like flow." (Triad City Beat). Over the past 2 years, NiGE HOOD has played along the East Coast, blazing the stage of notable venues including Howard Theater (Washington, DC) and SOB's (New York, NY). In 2017 NiGE HOOD will continue performing throughout the country and release a follow-up to his October 2016 EP, "This Is Folk Rap".
