Come be a part of our live audience and experience the sounds of one of Charlotte's best new jazz bands! Special guests include LeAnna Eden, Mara Robbins, Indigo Jo, Justin Aswell, That Guy Smitty, and Bluz will host.

Brut Beat:
Brut Beat is what could be considered as abrasive jazz influenced by an assortment of musical styles from afro-beat to heavy punk, free/bebop/cool jazz and old school hip hop mixing a blend of intricate rhythms.
LeAnna Eden: LeAnna Eden is a singer-songwriter originally from Milwaukee, WI. She is an eclectic mix of musical genres ranging from neo-soul to alternative rock. A self taught guitarist she has been growing her brand. Over the past ten years she has played the Midwest, the Rust Belt and is slowly making her way up and down the East Coast.
That Guy Smitty: Simple purveyor of cosmic groove. Doin' it to your earhole.
DJ Justin Aswell: Mega party thrower, beat-maker extraordinaire, half human/half hip hop
Indigo Jo: Joel, a minor Prophet from the bible, Verdad the Spanish word for Truth. A fitting moniker for up and coming rapper; Joel Verdad, a Charlotte North Carolina native who is poised to bring hip hop back to its roots. His lyrics, while enlightening and fun, possess an emotional and spiritual element rarely seen in today’s musical lineup.
Bluz: Words are a grouping of letters, formless, void, with very little meaning until poet and author, Bluz speaks them. Born Boris Rogers, Bluz, is a supramind of poetic expression and has been unwavering in his quest to stretch the boundaries of poetry. During the past six years of performing, Bluz has won two 2010 Emmy Awards, 2010 Southern Fried Poetry Slam, ranked 13th internationally in the Individual World Poetry Competition held in Vancouver, Canada, and is Slam Master and Coach of 2007 and 2008 award winning competitive slam team, Slam Charlotte.
